Welcome to the documentation website for N34ER, my experimental airplane project. It was purchased as a partially-complete, plans-built airplane in January 2024. This website chronicles the journey.
In 2024, hangars were very hard to find anywhere in Florida. Purchasing a flying airplane without a place to put it is nonsensical. One of the ways I can work toward the goal of owning an airplane is to build one, and my garage is barely big enough to fit a canard project.
The E-Racer airframe is similar to a Cozy III but with full retractable landing gear. It is a sleek, fast design with generous maximum takeoff weight. The Mk. 2 version has significant baggage space, making it a practical cross-country platform.
E-Racers are not well-documented airplanes; there are only about 20 that were ever registered, and only a handful still fly. The lack of good documentation and people with relevant experience makes a project like N34ER quite an adventure.
November 2025 update: life has ordained that someone else may have to finish this project. Over the last several years, I have done a significant amount of research and planning, but made little progress on the hull itself. Now the time has come to sell it. Of course, I’ll include all materials and research, plus some fancy new carts.
